POSITION STATUS:  Regular Part-Time

RATE OF PAY:        $22.20 - $27.43 per hour

SHIFT WORK REQ'D: Yes

DUTIES:

  • Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, this position will be responsible for providing recommendations and produces publicity material for the Windsor Public Library.
  • Will promote the Windsor Public Library Mission Statement and provide excellent customer service.
  • Design and produce artwork, signs and promotional materials for Windsor Public Library; design and/or create original artwork or illustrations as required.
  • Apply use of still and digital photography and videography. 
  • Research, recommend and obtain quotes for purchase of equipment, computer software and hardware, printing supplies and graphic reproduction services; research current trends in design and advertising technology.
  • Obtain and prioritize work orders to meet demands and deadlines.
  • Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health & Safety Program. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a three (3) year post secondary school community College diploma in Graphic Design, or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.
  • Must have over six (6) months of related work experience.
  • Must have the ability to travel to off site locations in a timely and expedient manner as required.  If method of travel is by vehicle, a current valid and lawful Driver's Licence is required in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act and must provide a driver’s abstract as a condition of employment.
  • Must have effective time management and organizational skills;
  • Must be proficient in current graphic design technology;
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills;
  • The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a light level of work.
