DUTIES:

  • Reporting to the Manager of Administration or designate, this position will be responsible for performing clerical duties relating to the processing of accounts receivables for the Human and Health Services area.
  • This position will be responsible for the verification of information;
  • Process miscellaneous revenues including cash, cheques and electronic payments; handle daily banking transactions;
  • Administer a Petty Cash Float;
  • Accept payments via Debit machine;
  • Sorting of data;
  • General office duties including typing, filing, answering the telephone;
  • Must communicate with the public and fellow staff in a tactful and courteous manner. 
  • Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation’s Health and Safety Program. 
  • Will perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, plus one (1) year of post-secondary education in the Accounting field or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalencies;
  • Must have over one (1) year of experience in a computerized office environment using the Microsoft suite of products as well as experience in a financial environment;
  • Must have a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm;
  • Must have excellent mathematical skills;
  • Must be able to navigate Database software
  • Experience with the PeopleSoft Financial System, SAMS and Amanda would be considered a definite asset;
  • The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a sedentary level of work.
