DUTIES:

  • Reporting to the Coordinator, Administration/Executive Assistant, this position will be responsible for providing support and clerical functions to the Finance area through responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposits and financial reporting. 
  • Duties will include; Accounts Payable - responsible for accurate preparation, matching, completion, and maintenance of Accounts Payable;
  • Accounts Receivable - responsible for the accurate preparation and creation of Accounts Receivable customer invoices;
  • Daily bank deposits as per the Cash Handling Procedure, responsible for accurate completion of bank deposit forms to reflect cash and cheques received;
  • Cash Office Report - preparation of cash office summary and appropriate documentation;
  • Bus Pass Program - reconcile monthly bus pass sales and produce billings to sales outlets and responsible to maintain Smart Card database in MS Access.
  • Amanda Cashiering - Ensure daily entries of receipts from bus pass, charter payments, and others. 
  • Spreadsheet maintenance - responsible for the continual update of spreadsheets to produce daily reports and the creation of new spreadsheets to assist in the efficiency of procedures.  
  • PeopleSoft - Ensure accurate entries into the PeopleSoft Financial system; Absence recording, vacation and floater tracking in PeopleSoft HRMS system.  
  • Back-up Timekeeper for the Payroll Clerk - must be fully prepared and capable of performing all payroll processing functions in the Payroll Clerk’s absence.
  • Will comply with Corporate Health and Safety duties as outlined in the Canada Labour Code Part II. 
  • Will perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a two year post-secondary school community College diploma in Business or Accounting, or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency.
  • Must have over one year of work experience in a computerized environment.
  • Must hold and maintain a current valid and lawful Class G Driver’s Licence in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act, for the purposes of operating a Transit Windsor vehicle and provide authorization to obtain a driver’s abstract.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must successfully complete job related testing.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial, PeopleSoft HRMS, and Amanda will be considered an asset.
  • The physical demands analysis associated with this job indicates a sedentary level of work.
